Welcome to Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot Link-Up, where inspiration is always just around the corner.

Week after week, this link-up brings together bloggers from all corners of the web, and I’m happy to be part of the co-hosting crew. Whether you write about style, food, travel, crafting, or anything else that makes your world go ’round (and is family-friendly), this is the place to share your posts (new and old), discover new favorites, and connect with a wonderful community.
Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot is all about slowing down just enough to share, read, and be inspired. The link-up gets rolling every Friday at 12:00 a.m. (Pacific Time) and it runs through Sunday night, giving everyone plenty of time to join in on the fun.
Before The Merge
I had a wonderful birthday last weekend. The day started with a Zoom meeting for our HOA, where it was announced that I was re-elected to the board. 🎉My husband, daughter, and I then had lox and bagels (a gluten-free one for me) brunch. After that, my daughter and I went to get mani/pedis in preparation for our son’s wedding next week. While I regularly get pedicures, I haven’t had a manicure in about 20 years, opting instead to wear my nails bare. When I tell you I’m obsessed, I’m O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D! I love the look so much.
When we got home after the mani/pedis, I was presented with my birthday gifts. From my husband, I got a new golf pushcart equipped with a seat (per my request, IYKYK), and from my kids, a golf-themed stainless steel bottle. They also treated us to dinner that night.
One last mention before we move forward to the next stop: I’ve pulled a few posts from my blog that you might find enjoyable. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to read them and leave a comment.

Behind the Wheel
Now, a quick introduction to the crew that helps keep traffic flowing on this weekly journey.

-
- Marsha from Marsha in the Middle started blogging in 2021 as an exercise in increasing her neuroplasticity. Oh, who are we kidding? Marsha started blogging because she loves clothes, and she loves to talk or, in this case, write!
- Melynda from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household – The name says it all. She and her family homestead in East Texas, with three generations sharing the land. Between gardening, chasing chickens, and knitting, Melynda still finds time to cook and bake from scratch!
- Lisa from Boondock Ramblings shares about the fiction she writes and reads, her faith, homeschooling, photography, and more.
- Cat from Cat’s Wire has what she calls a jumping spider brain. Cat has many interests and will blog about whatever catches her attention — crafts, books, old movies, collectibles, or random things.
- Rena (that’s me!) from Fine-Whatever — where style, self-expression, and a dash of humor all find their lane.

Coming Into View
Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot is all about connection and creativity. Each week, a different participant is featured to help us get to know one another a little better. So, before we move on down the road, let’s take a moment to shine a light on one of our fellow bloggers — a vista stop worth making along the way.

In the headlights this week is Shelbee, the alter ego of Michelle, who pens Shelbee on the Edge. She’s among the first bloggers I got to know in the early days when Fine-Whatever was initially finding its footing. Ten years later, Shelbee still shares her adventurous approach to fashion, her creative styling challenges, and plenty of thoughts on the trials and tribulations of a woman in mid-life.
In the Rearview Mirror
One more safety check before the green flag. Curated from last week’s party are these three must-reads that might have gotten lost in the mix, but they definitely deserve your attention.
Deb’s World – From a fifth birthday to an 88th, Deb has plenty of celebrations to share, including one surprise still in the works!
Kathrine Eldridge – Who says light-wash jeans are just for summer? Kathrine shows how to carry this wardrobe favorite right into fall.
Esme Salon – Esme turns cottage cheese, yogurt, and blueberries into a cheesecake-inspired treat, without ever turning on the oven.

Happy birthday! It sounds like your family did a great job celebrating you. Enjoy your manicure. I can’t remember the last time I had one either but I do enjoy them.
