Welcome to Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot Link-Up, where the best discoveries are sometimes the ones you weren’t looking for.

Who knows what we’ll find around the next bend?

Week after week, this link-up brings together bloggers from all corners of the web, and I’m happy to be part of the co-hosting crew. Whether you write about style, food, travel, crafting, or anything else that makes your world go ’round (and is family-friendly), this is the place to share your posts (new and old), discover new favorites, and connect with a wonderful community.

Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot is all about slowing down just enough to share, read, and be inspired. The link-up gets rolling every Friday at 12:00 a.m. (Pacific Time) and it runs through Sunday night, giving everyone plenty of time to join in on the fun.

Before The Merge

While I don’t maintain an official ‘bucket list’, I do have quite a few items on a ledger that I hope to ‘finally get around to doing’. I shared a few of the recent check-offs from my ledger in an aptly named post, Finally Getting Around To It: I Didn’t Give Up. And this week, I got another done.

I played a round of golf all by myself. It was delightful. The course was nearly empty, so I was able to finish 18 holes in about 3.5 hours. Although it’s a very walkable course, I did rent a cart since this was my first time playing there. Even so, I clocked nearly 6,600 steps. Next time, I’ll be using the pushcart my husband gave me for my birthday.

One last mention before we move forward to the next stop: I’ve pulled a few posts from my blog, both recent and not, that I think you might find enjoyable. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to read them and leave a comment.

Behind the Wheel

Now, a quick introduction to the crew that helps keep traffic flowing on this weekly journey.

      • Marsha from Marsha in the Middle started blogging in 2021 as an exercise in increasing her neuroplasticity. Oh, who are we kidding? Marsha started blogging because she loves clothes, and she loves to talk or, in this case, write!
      • Melynda from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household – The name says it all. She and her family homestead in East Texas, with three generations sharing the land. Between gardening, chasing chickens, and knitting, Melynda still finds time to cook and bake from scratch!
      • Lisa from Boondock Ramblings shares about the fiction she writes and reads, her faith, homeschooling, photography, and more.
      • Cat from Cat’s Wire has what she calls a jumping spider brain. Cat has many interests and will blog about whatever catches her attention — crafts, books, old movies, collectibles, or random things.
      • Rena (that’s me!) from Fine-Whatever — where style, self-expression, and a dash of humor all find their lane.

Coming Into View

Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot is all about connection and creativity. Each week, a different participant is featured to help us get to know one another a little better. So, before we move on down the road, let’s take a moment to shine a light on one of our fellow bloggers — a vista stop worth making along the way.

In the headlights this week is Paula, the voice behind Grace Filled Moments, where faith and everyday life meet, sometimes in unexpected ways. Through personal stories, thoughtful observations, and her monthly Sweet Tea & Friends link-up, Paula creates a welcoming space for readers and fellow bloggers.

In the Rearview Mirror

One more safety check before the green flag. Curated from last week’s party are these three must-reads that might have gotten lost in the mix, but they definitely deserve your attention.

Conversations With An Older Woman – Penny celebrates coat season with a peek at her collection, including a new secondhand find she couldn’t resist.

Watercrest Words – When your career ends, what happens to your sense of identity? Dr. Aletha shares what an unexpected retirement taught her about finding purpose.

Within A World Of My Own – Sally takes a favorite outfit formula and shows how a little color coordination can create a surprising number of looks.
