Welcome to Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot Link-Up, where creativity stays in motion and discovery is part of the ride.

Week after week, this link-up brings together bloggers from all corners of the web, and I’m happy to be part of the co-hosting crew. Whether you write about style, food, travel, crafting, or anything else that makes your world go ’round (and is family-friendly), this is the place to share your posts (new and old), discover new favorites, and connect with a wonderful community.
Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot is all about slowing down just enough to share, read, and be inspired. The link-up gets rolling every Friday at 12:00 a.m. (Pacific Time) and it runs through Sunday night, giving everyone plenty of time to join in on the fun.
Before The Merge
It’s been nine years since my breast cancer diagnosis (see My World Has Changed: In Real Life) and subsequent mastectomy. I’m thrilled to share that my most recent mammogram for the remaining breast shows “no significant interval changes” from the last one. May I offer a gentle reminder to my readers with breasts to also get up-to-date with your screening.
Beyond that, I have an appointment later today with my PCP, though I’m not entirely sure why. I’d gotten a message through the portal that I should make an appointment with her regarding ‘chronic condition follow-up’. An option was given for doing the appointment via telephone as opposed to going to her office, but I have some other questions, so I opted for in-person. Since my last appointment with her was a few years ago, I asked if basic lab tests could be ordered ahead of time so that results would be available to review when I see her. That was done earlier this week, and all is normal (knock on wood).
One last mention before we move forward to the next stop: I’ve pulled a few posts from my blog that you might find enjoyable. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to read and leave a comment.
- September Moodboard: Wedding Season
- Was It Worth The Stop?
- Slow Fashion September: The Utility Jacket

Behind the Wheel
Now, a quick introduction to the crew that helps keep traffic flowing on this weekly journey.

-
-
- Marsha from Marsha in the Middle started blogging in 2021 as an exercise in increasing her neuroplasticity. Oh, who are we kidding? Marsha started blogging because she loves clothes, and she loves to talk or, in this case, write!
- Melynda from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household – The name says it all. She and her family homestead in East Texas, with three generations sharing the land. Between gardening, chasing chickens, and knitting, Melynda still finds time to cook and bake from scratch!
- Lisa from Boondock Ramblings shares about the fiction she writes and reads, her faith, homeschooling, photography, and more.
- Cat from Cat’s Wire has what she calls a jumping spider brain. Cat has many interests and will blog about whatever catches her attention — crafts, books, old movies, collectibles, or random things.
- Rena (that’s me!) from Fine-Whatever — where style, self-expression, and a dash of humor all find their lane.

Coming Into View
Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot is all about connection and creativity. Each week, a different participant is featured to help us get to know one another a little better. So, before we move on down the road, let’s take a moment to shine a light on one of our fellow bloggers — a vista stop worth making along the way.

In the headlights this week is Rayla, the writer behind Innerdialects, a personal journal where poetry, faith, everyday life, and the world around her come together in a writing style that is distinctly her own.
In the Rearview Mirror
One more safety check before the green flag. Curated from last week’s party are these three must-reads that might have gotten lost in the mix, but they definitely deserve your attention.
SAYING NO OUT LOUD IS HEALING – Val makes a strong case for saying a specific little two-letter word more often.
Back to School & Apple Season – Books, family updates, and enough apple-filled dishes to make fall look especially tasty.
5 Fall Jacket Trends 2026 + How to Wear Them – You may already have a few of these trends hanging in your closet.
Are you ready to rumble?
Drop your links below and let’s keep the traffic jam rolling — the good kind, of course! Ready, set, go!

Stay well and let’s keep in touch! Subscribe, follow, friend, pin … all options are available. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
