Posh Driver in Floral c/o Floafers

I was so delighted to have been offered a pair of Floafers to review and even more delighted as to how cute and comfortable they turned out to be. Just what are Floafers? They are lightweight EVA foam loafers but these are not your grandfather’s EVA shoes. You know, those chunky ones named after a reptile? These are not those.

Floafers offers a “collection of family-friendly athleisure looks that takes the iconic loafer silhouette and reinterprets it for modern living in lightweight, breathable foam that delivers on style, wearability, and performance”. The footbed of the shoes features a built-in arch and massage pods, the outsoles are designed with islands of siped rubber for traction and flexibility. And, they’re odor-resistant, easy to clean, and quick-drying.

And did I mention comfort? Of course, I did because they feel just as amazing to wear as they look. First off, they fit like a dream, true to size for me. It can be hit or miss (more often miss) for me when it comes to finding a loafer that fit my feet since they’re flat and run on the narrow side. Rarely can I find a pair that I don’t walk right out of and if they do stay on, then there’s usually a lot gapping along the sides. This wasn’t the case with my Floafers as you can see in the photos.

The foam itself is soft and pliable but yet well-formed for a great fit. No slipping and very little gapping. There are no seams on the insides which means there are no ridges to cause irritation. The massage pods, which are like little nubs along the footbed, felt fabulous. I opted to wear them without socks and see those slits along the side of the shoes and the holes on top? They are for ventilation which allows air to circulate, keeping my feet cool and dry when I wore them while running errands around town. The rubber soles have just enough bounce and cushion for easy, pain-free, and sure-footed walking.

As for the rest of my look, I opted to pick up on the lavender/pinkish tones in the floral print of my shoes as I shopped my closet. The button-front white denim jeans I picked up last summer at Costco (saw them again this week in my local store) and the peplum top was bought at Kohl’s (also last year). I’ve had the cardigan for several years and wore it often in Spring/Summer to work as a completer piece.

Besides being gifted these Floafers, I’ve known the company’s president and CEO, Larry Paparo, for many years. I share this bit of information because I know first-hand about his experience in the footwear business and his passion for providing a quality product. Even so, initially, I was skeptical. Obviously, I was won over and so will you be.

To entice you even more, Floafers is offering a one time discount of 20% off until the end of May when you use the code FINEWHATEVER20. Get a pair for yourself, your SO, your littles … there are several other fun patterns to choose from as well as a ton of solid color options. Anyone who is looking for footwear that is functional and doesn’t want to compromise on style is sure to adore these. As the saying goes, an outfit is only as good as the shoes you wear.

Stay well and let’s keep in touch! Subscribe, tweet, follow, friend, pin … all options are available. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

  4. What a cute spring look with the purple and lilac together! And they look like fun shoes – although I hadn’t heard of flofers before! Or seen any shoes made from foam, other than thongs of course, which are a summer shoe staple here, haha!
