Boho is so perfect for Spring that I decided to post another outfit, especially since the outfit you see below and the one from two weeks ago were both recently featured on Adrienne Shubin’s and Jill Burgess’s April editions of ‘How I Wear My: Boho’.
Loose and flowy pants, cork wedge sandals, and a lacey top make up my boho look. The pants are one of four pairs purchased last month at a Goodwill boutique (click here to read the post about this store). The brightly colored pants are a little outside my comfort zone but these are SO comfortable and I feel fabulous while wearing them.
When these photos were taken, The Husband and I were headed to a matinee showing at a West LA playhouse which we followed with dinner on Melrose and then a friend’s gallery opening in Hollywood.
It was a lovely afternoon to stroll through Westwood and, of course, we had to make a stop at Stan’s Donuts. We were not able to get a photo but the chocolate-covered old fashion was delicious. I was careful not to get any crumbs on my white top, which I bought about a year ago at a Gap Outlet. The denim jacket I’ve had for several years and was purchased at Macy’s. Those are two separate necklaces; the pendant is from American Eagle and the other is from Loft Outlet. I found the cork wedge sandals last summer at Famous Footwear.
Perhaps you’ve noticed that the outfit in the feature photo for this post looks a bit different than what I’ve just shared. Well, I had so much fun with boho that I couldn’t stop at just two outfits. The trouble is that we got shooed away from this photo location (“this is a private campus, no pictures”) and we were in a hurry to begin with as well. To the same vibrant and comfy pants, I added an overdyed top with lacing neckline detail I bought at Target and a crocheted flyaway cardigan (I think got this at Macy’s a long time ago).
Stacked, chunky heel sandals and the same white tote with laser cut pattern (Simply Vera) complete this look.
Now, onto the Powers The Flower link up for this week. My featured contributor from last week’s link-up is Kait Elizabeth from make mine Maroon. I love the floral pattern of the dress and the whole vibe of her outfit.

I am still working on getting my boho style together. Nice work.

Thank you. I’m glad you like the look.
GREAT pants! I just got some “loud” wide legged pants that I look forward to wearing (but I’m a bit hesitant as they are really “out there.”) I love how you styled the pants both ways.
I used to not like Boho, but then I got some flare jeans, which I love. Now I’m looking to add a few more Boho items to my collection.
The pants are so comfortable, almost like I’m wearing PJ’s. I think that the trick with ‘loud’ pants is to balance out it out with less wild pieces. A little bit of boho can go a long way to adding a bit of style to an otherwise ordinary outfit.
I’m not much a fan of the bohemian look, Rena, but I can most certainly appreciate it on others 🙂 in instance, your pants are funky doodle cool. And that crocheted cardigan is really lovely!! With the flyaway hemline.
I understand. There are styles that I like but would never wear because I don’t think that they suit me.
I have some linen pants shaped like this and love them! It’s interesting how in both outfits you went with (basically) the same color scheme!
Funny how you got shooed away from taking photos!!

I noticed the ‘same but opposite’ aspect in the use of color in the outfits and wondered it anyone would catch it too. Thank you for letting me know that you did.
Love the fun red palazzo pants and the easy breezy way you styled them. =) Happy Thursday Rena!
Thank you. You should have seen the look on my husband’s face when I bought them. He thought they would be better suited to our 20-something daughter.

I loved these trousers when I saw them over on How I Wear My. And of course I’m a big fan of the wedge sandal!

We are of like minds. I was so happy when I found the sandals last summer (of course hoping they would not be completely out of style this year) and the pants were a must buy as soon as I laid eyes on them.
Such cute pants!!!
Jaymie
Thanks
This outfit is great for the Spring/Summer!

Thank you. I hope I ‘turned some heads’. Love your style.
Those pants are awesome!!! I really like the top that you paired them with too! SO, Boho chic, lady!
Thank you. If only I could wear them to work too (but I think they are just a bit to casual).
