Welcome to Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot Link-Up, where inspiration is always just around the corner.

I’m so happy to be one of the co-hosts for this weekly link-up, which brings together bloggers from all corners of the web. Whether you write about style, food, travel, crafting, or anything else that makes your world go ’round (and is family-friendly), this is the place to share your posts (new and old), discover new favorites, and connect with a wonderful community.

Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot is all about slowing down just enough to share, read, and be inspired. We get the link-up rolling every Friday at 12:00 a.m. (Pacific Time) and it runs through Sunday night, giving everyone plenty of time to join in on the fun.

Before The Merge

Like for most of you, much of this past week has been filled with holiday prepping and making our home festive. Our daughter is just now getting into town, so we’ll be doing our official family Hanukkah night this coming weekend. Even so, we’ve had latkes twice already; once was a practice batch that my husband made for just the two of us, and then at a party my sister and her husband hosted at their home. Of course, there’s been shopping for gifts, which has gone surprisingly quite smoothly. I even managed to get my husband to join me one night.

And before we move forward onto the next stop, here’s what I published earlier this week that I hope you’ll take a few minutes to read:

Behind the Wheel

A quick introduction to the crew that helps keep traffic flowing on this weekly journey.

  • Marsha from Marsha in the Middle started blogging in 2021 as an exercise in increasing her neuroplasticity. Oh, who are we kidding? Marsha started blogging because she loves clothes, and she loves to talk or, in this case, write!
  • Melynda from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household – The name says it all. She and her family homestead in East Texas, with three generations sharing the land. Between gardening, chasing chickens, and knitting, Melynda still finds time to cook and bake from scratch!
  • Lisa from Boondock Ramblings shares about the fiction she writes and reads, her faith, homeschooling, photography, and more.
  • Cat from Cat’s Wire has what she calls a jumping spider brain. Cat has many interests and will blog about whatever catches her attention — crafts, books, old movies, collectibles, or random things.
  • Rena (that’s me!) from Fine-Whatever — where style, self-expression, and a dash of humor all find their lane.

Coming Into View

Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot is all about connection and creativity. Each week, a different participant is featured to help us get to know one another a little better. So, before we move on down the road, let’s take a moment to shine a light on one of our fellow bloggers — a vista stop worth making along the way.

In the headlights this week is Amy, who pens The Copper Table, a cozy food blog dedicated to fresh, seasonal recipes and home cooking from scratch using real ingredients. She focuses on making farm-to-table meals approachable and delicious — perfect for anyone who wants to put fresh produce and homemade goodness at the center of family meals. Whether it’s easy weeknight dinners or creative uses for Farmers Market finds, Amy’s recipes help readers cook with confidence and enjoy every bite.

In the Rearview Mirror

One more safety check before the green flag. Selected from last week’s party are three posts I think are worth a revisit.

Thrifting for Holiday Art: Affordable Christmas Decor Ideas – A fun and practical thrift-haul round-up that showcases creative ways to bring vintage finds into fresh, stylish everyday outfits.

How to Style a Cream Black Bow Sweater 4 Ways for the Holidays – A festive style guide highlighting the many ways to wear a cream and black bow sweater this holiday season.

How to survive the holidays when you don’t feel festive… – A thoughtful and reassuring read with practical tips for navigating the holidays when celebrating is the last thing on your mind.
