As of Friday last, the big project at work that was consuming so much of my time was nearly all done. So much so that after 12 straight days of work, I was finally able to enjoy the weekend off. Even better, the “product” of my hard work was turned over yesterday and now I’m moving onto the next big project. Speaking of moving on …

Last Week This Week is a look back at what I actually wore last Monday thru Friday as long as it was a workday. I’ve included a brief description of each outfit and if I wore it for a specific event other than a typical workday. Without a specified dress-code in my workplace, casual Friday isn’t really an official thing but I usually adhere to it nonetheless.

Sorry for yet another tease but I’m still not ready to share the big change I blatantly hinted at in No, No, No – November. All of the efforts for it are also nearly all done so the reveal should be soon. Until then, I’ve got my daily looks from last week to share.

Monday

I really like how this outfit came together. The jacket and top I’ve worn many times but was their first pairing. The similar colors of the subtle tweed and the bold pattern keep the pieces from fighting each other and add a little oomph to an otherwise basic ensemble.

Tuesday

Already reaching for the comfort wear with my old favorite animal print crops and low heel booties. The corduroy jacket is relatively new though, a thrift store find from back in September. And I did say corduroy, although the color is so deep and rich it almost looks like velvet.

Wednesday

Another comfort based outfit. I don’t think that this cardigan has made it on an LWTW post as of yet but it’s an oldie that been in my closet for a long time.

Thursday

I spent a considerable amount of time this past weekend sorting and straightening my closet. A number of items got the heave-ho and this top was one of them. As much as I like the style, I don’t think is very flattering and the fabric was really looking worn. It was an inexpensive buy from the nationwide retailer with the bull’s eye so ba-bye.

Friday

As considered in last week’s edition of LWTW, I’ve paired the jacket and jeans from Friday’s look with boots and a black top. The week before, I’d worn them with loafer pumps and pink top.

And there you have it, a look back at what I wore to work last week.  How do you decide what you will wear to work? Let me clarify … unless you’ve declared yourself to be checked out from any type of routine, anything you do during daylight hours (and sometimes nighttime ones as well) whether or not you get paid for it, I consider that to be your “work” and you should/can be dressed accordingly. And even if you are retired, in whatever manner you’ve enjoyed your day is good enough for me.

The Husband had been rummaging around in a box of old photos and texted this one to me. Based on the couch we’re sitting on and the ring on my finger, the photo was taken sometime in late 1990 or early 1991. It’s been a long haul and fortunately, we are NOT nearly all done. LOL
