As I write this, it’s Wednesday night and my plan was to have this post for Saturday finished tonight because I’m going away for a couple of days with my family and I didn’t want to use any of that time blogging.  It’s so apropos that the theme for this week’s link up is Up Down All-Around because that is exactly where I’ve been searching for my missing thumb drive.  The thumb drive on which of course are my more recent blog photos, like the ones for this post.  I know when I last had it in hand and I know when I first realized that it was no longer ‘in hand’ and so I know where to look but I can’t get back to that place until tomorrow morning.

So for now, I’m trying to stay hopeful that I will find it but either way, this is a hard lesson regarding my digital data management methods. I’ve had similar scares previously but apparently those weren’t enough to make me change my ways. I started out using the thumb drive to transfer the photos from one computer to another and got lazy about keeping all versions in-sync with each other. I have older photos on my laptop, it’s just the more recent ones that were still on thumb drive. Fine, whatever.

My work around for the missing photos is to describe each of the looks (work, play, fun) and show you links to similar items. Each of my looks started with a white lace hip length sleeveless top I bought at Target last Fall. It looks similar to these.

Styled up for work, I chose my new WhoWhatWear floral print bomber jacket (exact is shown below) and a pair of pin-striped black pants.

Styled down for play, a pair of olive slim fit chinos, a pretty scarf, and my silver sandals do the trick.

Styled for all-around fun, I did a spin with black and white using a midi length full white skirt with black top stitching and my black and white wedges that I shared in this post.

Let’s Wrap This Up

Now, onto the Fine-Whatever link up for this week. I was so tickled to have had over 40 posts added to last week’s link up that I wound up with two favorites to feature this week. The first featured contributor from last week’s Floral themed link-up is Chichi at The Style Tune. Chichi’s style is very feminine without being too fussy. The second featured contributor is Christina at Caliope Couture. Christina describes her style as eclectic, sometimes classy, usually feminine and sometimes unconventional. Both of these gals look so pretty in their floral prints.

Thanks for the sympathy. It was such a careless mistake but one I won’t make again.

I had a great time with my family despite my funk over losing the thumb drive and I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only one with blogging issues.

And once you think you’ve got blogging figured out, something changes and it feels like you’re starting over. Thanks for the good wishes.

Yes, indeed. Sometimes you need to go old-school (or least make three copies of everything).

My digital management methods are less than ideal as well (as in, I have no methods!) I am sure I will regret this one day. I have it my to-do list but it keeps getting pushed further down the list!

Thanks for linking up On the Edge of the Week! I hope to see you again next week. Have a wonderful weekend!
